Dancing, Theatre, and Art brings so much joy to the faces of people. At Essien IWantToPlay, we are fully in awe of the extensive nature of these activities. Then, coupled with our passion for bringing art to life, we have come into existence. We are committed to ensuring that we can bring smiles to the faces of people through art.
We have a series of performance and production. Our products are based on football. We uniquely adopt dance theatrics to convey footballing messages in our production. We can achieve this through our expert team who bring creative thoughts like no other to the table. This combination of desire, passion, and creativity is what drives us in our activities.
Our Activities
Our theatre activities cut across the following categories.
Rehearsals
If there is one thing we are sure about, it is that our theatre production will not just come to life without efforts on our part. Even more, little effort is inadequate if we are looking for exceptional theatre production; after all, practice makes perfect. This is why we take rehearsals seriously. It is an opportunity for us to have members of the team sharpen their skills and ready themselves to produce a performance worth calling the performance of the century.
Training Program
No doubt dancing is a lot of fun; however, it is as much work as it is fun. There are various things to know, various techniques to learn, and a wide range of experiences to channel from. Of course, this is if you have any intention to take dancing professionally. We recognise the effort required to take dancing to the next stage. This is why we run a training program.
Venue
We hold our production activities across various venues. From the Capitol Theatre Sydney to the La Boite Brisbane, our performance wherever we are is breathtaking. We deliver well-rehearsed dances conveying various football thoughts and messages to our audience. We welcome you to learn more about us.

Our community activities include:
Youth Program
Our young people are the future in every aspect. Whether it be politics, science and invention, academics, and even art, that is why we place considerable focus on our youths as part of our commitment to improving our community. We recognise that youth play a vital role in the development of our community and society at large. As such, we run a youth program where we contribute to our youth’s development through dance.
Regional Workshops
We constantly engage in regional tours while looking to leave an impact during these tours. What better way to achieve this than through a workshop? This workshop enables us to share positive stories of the realities of various cultures to the audience. This is to ensure that we can foster a group of individuals with a strong commitment to being cultural leaders in the coming years.
