COVID-19

COVID-19 & Our Theatre Production

This year has seen an unusual occurrence all over the world. This is the spread of the coronavirus all over the globe. Now tagged COVID-19, this virus emerged in China and has spread worldwide, affecting Australia. Today, there are almost thirty thousand cases of the pandemic in Australia and almost a thousand dead. While most individuals have recovered from the virus in Australia, over twenty-five thousand, the virus remains a threat. This is why the government has made various efforts to reduce the disease’s spread for the protection of life and property of others.

The reality is that these various actions taken by the government have affected a wide range of institutions and sectors. Unfortunately, as an organisation, we are not exempted. In fact, the situation is constantly changing. We are left to adapt to ensure that we comply with existing government directives and guarantee the protection of the community’s lives.

Currently, the government has directed us to maintain social distancing in public places. We are well aware that our theatre tends to violate this regulation. After all, it was a place where various individuals came around to have fun in close contact. As such, we are taking steps to ensure that we abide by the relevant government regulations.

We recognise that we are responsible for the protection of the life of other members of the community. We do not take this for granted, and we try as much as possible to ensure that we deliver on our promise to protect the lives of members of our community. Our theatres are currently operating under significant restriction to prevent the spread of the virus. We remain committed to abiding by every relevant stipulation.

As part of our commitment towards protecting ourselves and others, we recognise the need for an adequate understanding of the virus and its spread within our community. As such, here is some information that we deem important to ensure that everyone can behave appropriately to reduce the spreads of the virus.

Symptoms of COVID-19

There are various symptoms associated with the condition. These symptoms include:

  • Coughing
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sore throat
  • Fever

Keep in mind that these are symptoms associated with other illnesses. As such, it can be quite difficult on your own to determine the existence of COVID-19. In turn, your best bet is to go for a test and inform the necessary authority if you suspect you might be infected with the virus.

Stop the Spread and Transmission of the Virus

As citizens of Australia, it is our responsibility to prevent the virus’s spread within our community. As such, in line with various health guidelines provided by the World Health Organisation and the Australian Government, we do the following:

  • Maintain good hygiene
  • Ensure we maintain physical and social distancing
  • Abide by the recommended limits during physical gatherings
  • Prioritise isolation where necessary
